Autumn “The Grizz” Griswold is a designer and storyteller working in the intersection of fashion and illustration. Raised in the “Corridor of Shame” in low country South Carolina, her work is shaped by the inequality she witnessed while living there. Resources were scarce, but stories were rich, and where there was systematic failure there was still always quiet determination to be found. Here, her perspective and purpose were forever changed.

She went on to study Illustration, Fashion Marketing & Management, as well as Fashion Journalism at the Savannah College of Art and Design, just an hour from her home town.

Through symbolic storytelling in her illustrations, writings, and marketing projects, The Grizz aims to capture and critique the feminine experiences in the 21st century that are so often overlooked. Her work views gender and sexuality as ever-evolving spaces, to be both explored and embraced.
